The Kudzu Review is an undergraduate literary journal; therefore, we only accept work from current FSU undergraduates or students who have graduated within the current academic year (August-May). Simultaneous submissions are accepted, but please let us know as soon as possible if your work has been accepted elsewhere.
All written submissions should be in .doc or .docx format. Submit multiple pieces separately (multiple poems, flash fiction, etc). The file name should also be the piece’s title.

Genre Specific Formatting Guidelines:
Fiction: Submissions must be double-spaced and in 12pt Times New Roman. Submit only one story, not to exceed 15 pages (It’s best to keep your submission between 8 and 10 pages). You may submit up to three flash fiction pieces as long as those three submissions combined don’t exceed the 15-page limit.
Creative Nonfiction: Submissions must be double-spaced and in 12pt Times New Roman. Submit only one non-fiction piece, not to exceed 10 pages. You may submit up to three short nonfiction pieces as long as those three submissions combined don’t exceed the 10-page limit. Critical essays are not accepted.
Poetry: Poems must be single-spaced and up to 3 pages in length per poem. Submit no more than 3 poems. If there is a special visual format to your poem, consider submitting it as a PDF.
Visual Art: This category includes digital art, photography, and scanned images of pieces made using other media. Submit up to 5 digital images. Please avoid low-resolution images (at least 5MP or suitable for printing at 300DPI).
